Ever wondered why IT is usually classified as a 'cost centre' when the investment in technology should be to generate value? Why in some companies the CIO reports to the CFO? Why the word 'value' is noticeable by it's absence? Why I keep hearing 'we deliver features not value'? Why there is a focus on reducing visible costs, increasing hidden costs and slowing time to value?

Our current ways of working come from the late 1800s. We're still partying like it's 1890 in many organisations today.
