Ways of Working Nudge
People embrace change with an S-curve profile (Diffusion of Innovation, Everett Rodgers, 1962).
Start by inviting the natural champions, the innovators. Invite over inflict. Change is hardest at the beginning, with the most headwinds, the most impediments, the least understanding and social proof in context. Keep the gradient low to start with. Don't do a big bang. Go at the speed of unlearning and relearning.
Communicate, communicate, communicate to cross the chasm (Geoffrey Moore, 1991).
Incentivise improvement.
Think big, start small & start.
Run experiments, protecting them from antibodies.
Share learning.
Recognise.
